As the busy 2016 moving season got underway, Victory’s new President Francesca Vollaro seized an opportunity to help relocating customers and the local community at the same time. While visiting a relocating family placing their goods going into short term storage until their new home closed, Fran realized a good amount of non-perishable food items were being disposed of on moving day.  She offered to take the items to a soup kitchen and the family was very grateful to have one less thing to worry about.   As a result of that encounter, Fran reached out to Move for Hunger for affiliation and tips on how to do this regularly.  Move For Hunger is a national organization working with moving and relocation companies to help relocating families easily donate non-perishable food to local food banks for use by the community.  Victory now introduces the service to each new customer. Victory’s crews then pack up boxes labeled for Move For Hunger on move day and return it to Victory’s depot for monthly transport to local food bank partners.  Victory’s customer’s love being part of a food solution and Victory loves donating back to their community in highly impactful way.
